What is Writing for Wellbeing? All writing has the potential to improve your wellbeing. The main difference between 'being a writer' and using writing to improve your wellbeing, is the emphasis on the 'process' of writing, rather than the 'product'. It's less about 'writing well' and more about 'writing yourself well'.
I run Writing for Wellbeing sessions for individuals and groups, and look forward to introducing you to the magic of using writing as a therapeutic, cathartic and reflective tool. Recent Projects I have recently been working with Wiltshire Mighty Girls to produce a two day workshop on Body Image for teenage girls in Bradford on Avon. Our aim is to develop and replicate this model and 'go on tour' to the rest of Wiltshire throughout 2018.
Our 'launch' event was on Thursday 18th January at St Margaret's Hall in Bradford on Avon, where we screened the body positive documentary 'Embrace', created by Taryn Brumfitt, and the workshop was held in February half term, 2018.

Previous Work
In Summer/Autumn 2017 I ran a poetry project at Blenheim House Care Home in Melksham, where we explored our identities and produced some really powerful group poems. I hope to work with them again in the near future to pilot a 'Pen-Pal' project in collaboration with a local school.
I also held a very successful 'Write Your Own Family Adventure Story' workshop at Melksham Library as part of the national Family Learning Festival in October 2017. I was blown away by the creativity and originality of the stories the young participants shared with me. There were aliens, princesses, dragons- even a Pikachu!
